partnership with the Chester County Intermediate Unit, we seek only

Mobile Therapists, and Behavioral Specialist Consultants in

Career Opportunities:


Therapeutic Support Staff- provide one:one behavioral health

interventions to children and adolescents in the home, school and

community.


Mobile Therapists- (Master’s Level)- provide child-centered, family-

focused cognitive-behavior counseling using a variety of modalities

as described in the child’s treatment plan.


Behavioral Specialist Consultant- (Master’s Level)- provide assessment,

program design and monitoring. Serve as a consultant to

implementation team. Work in collaboration with other members of

the team to design cognitive behavioral interventions through an

individualized written plan.

Comprehensive Learning Center

Executive Director Position

Description

The Comprehensive Learning Center (CLC), established in 2000, is

seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Executive Director.

CLC is a private, non-profit program for individuals with autism located

in Southampton, Pennsylvania.  CLC’s education program currently

serves 19 students, ages 3 to 21 years.  Plans for future expansion

include development of an adult program.  Intervention services at CLC

are based upon the principles of applied behavior analysis.


Viable candidates will have earned a graduate degree (preferably a

doctoral degree) in psychology, special education, or a related field;

and have at least three years of clinical experience in applied behavior

analysis and autism intervention.  Vita entries should include evidence

of professional writing and speaking skills.  The CLC Board of Trustees

is currently evaluating the merits of becoming a dissemination site of

the Princeton Child Development Institute (PCDI), and has commenced

negotiations with PCDI toward that end.  If an agreement is reached

between CLC and PCDI, the new Executive Director will serve a paid

residency of up to 12 months at PCDI prior to assuming responsibilities

at CLC.  The residency would tentatively begin in September 2010,

immediately following which the selected candidate will return to CLC

and assume the role of Executive Director.

Family Behavioral Resources

Family Behavioral Resources (FBR) is a provider of BHRS (“wrap-around”)

and specialized services to consumers diagnosed with either and ASD or

mental health diagnosis, across multiple counties in PA. In addition, FBR

offers out-patient mental health services, family-based services, and trauma

services.  FBR has recently partnered with the Autism Education and Research

Institute (AERI) in order to provide services through the PA Adult Autism

Waiver. It is the mission of FBR to be a leader in delivering the highest

quality of recovery oriented care.  Consistent with it’s mission, FBR recently

received accreditation through CARF for several programs.

FBR is seeking qualified individuals that are interested in making a

difference in the lives of adults with and ASD diagnosis within Lancaster

County and surrounding regions.  FBR, in collaboration with AERI,  has

recently opened an office in Lancaster in order to support consumers

throughout the PA Adult Autism Waiver. Services lines currently afforded

through FBR and AERI include Behavioral Specialist Services (BSS),

Community Inclusion, Counseling, Family Counseling, Family Training,

Job Finding, Job Placement and Temporary Crisis Services. Requirements

vary by service line.

Institute of Professional Practice, Inc. (IPPI)

For more than two decades, The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc. has

been driven by a mission to make a difference -built on a respect for

differences- in the lives of people we serve. As a private, non-profit, IPP

provides treatment and support to people with special and educational needs

throughout New England and Maryland. The Professional Parenting Program is

a specialized foster care program owned and operated by the Institute. The

program provides services to children who experience an array of challenges

as a licensed child placing agency.


Career Opportunities:

Clinical Coordinator: Professional Parenting Program provides services in a

unique foster care program serving children with emotional, cognitive,

psychiatric, behavioral and/or medical challenges. Duties include functional

assessments, behavior intervention plans, data analysis, skill acquisition,

parent training, and crisis management. Qualified applicants must have a

minimum of a Master’s degree, training in behavior analysis, eligibility to sit

for the board exam and experience working with children and families. BCBA

certification highly preferred.

Melmark


The Melmark School is an approved private school licensed by the Department of

Education that offers services to children and adolescents ages 5 to 21 with learning

difficulties and challenging behaviors secondary to a broad range of developmental

disabilities. Melmark provides evidence-based, educational, vocational, clinical,

residential, healthcare and rehabilitative services, personally designed for each

individual in an environment of warmth, care and respect.


Melmark’s innovative program is defined by its comprehensive and collaborative

clinical service delivery model. The school program is offered across a 12-month

cycle for both day students and residential students. The approach of all clinical

programming within this organization integrates the technical and empirically-

supported features of applied behavior analysis to address the unique characteristics

of the individual. Clinical team members consist of Board Certified Behavior Analysts,

Clinical Social Workers, School Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical

Therapists, Special Education Teachers, Speech and Language Pathologists, Vocational

Coordinators, and Registered Nurses.


Melmark’s picturesque campus consists of seventy-seven acres in Delaware County and

offers recreational program areas, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools,

stables with a riding area, gymnasium, tennis courts, fitness trails and playgrounds.

Many students who attend the Melmark School reside in beautifully maintained single-

family homes on campus and in nearby communities, as this allows the rich clinical

program to occur without cessation around the clock.


Career Opportunities:


Behavior Analyst: Our Behavior Analysts are responsible for the academic and

behavioral programming that takes place in two classrooms. Behavior Analysts

typically have a caseload of 12 students and serve as the direct supervisor of two

Classroom Teachers and 1-2 Behavior Support Specialists. Behavior Analysts take

primary responsibility for ensuring updated and accurate functional behavior

assessments, and provide strong support in the assessment of students’ academic

needs. Behavior Analysts work interdependently with other clinical and curricular

staff to ensure the highest degree of treatment integrity in relation to the

implementation of behavior support plans and IEP goals for the students.


The successful applicant will join a team of research-active professionals working on

the development and dissemination of improved organizational, therapeutic, and

support strategies that are scientifically validated.
